Shoalhaven City Council has approved a two year trial of natural burials in the grounds of the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens & Lawn Cemetery at Worrigee. Council resolved

• A trial “Natural Burial Portion” be established at the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens & Lawn Cemetery, Worrigee.
• 
  The “Natural Burial Portion” be administered strictly in accordance with the“Guidelines for Natural Burial Portions in the Shoalhaven Memorial Gardens & Lawn Cemetery”.
• Community’s response and acceptance of the Natural Burial Portion be monitoredfor the next 24 months.
• A further report be submitted to Council in 24 months to advise on the progress and continuation of Natural Burials in the Shoalhaven.
• 
  The Right of Burial (plot) fee is to be the same as the fee for a Lawn Cemetery Right of Burial, which is currently $2,775 including GST.
• 
  The Natural Burial interment will be the same as the Lawn Cemetery first interment fee, which is currently $1,365 including GST.
