Arranging a burial in a Shoalhaven Cemetery

Information - Burial

You are urged to consult a funeral director if you need to arrange for someone's burial. Funeral directors are listed in your local Yellow Pages.

The advantage of using a funeral director is that they should know what legal, policy, procedural and local requirements need to be complied with.

However, as a general guide, to arrange a burial  in a Shoalhaven cemetery you will need to obtain a Burial Licence. An application can then be lodged for the burial. Some of the conditions that need to be complied with are outlined in Application for Burial form pre-amble.

Additionally, anyone carrying out a service in a Shoalhaven cemetery must comply with the Shoalhaven City Council's policies.
