What to do when someone has died

The links and pages  below are intended to help those who need to know what to do when someone has died.

As a general rule, when you need to make arrangements for someone who has died you should contact a funeral director of choice. They will guide you through the steps that need to be taken to arrange a cremation or burial service. Funeral directors operating in the Shoalhaven area are listed here. Other's will be listed in your local Yellow Pages directory

It is possible to arrange a funeral service without a funeral director, but you will then need to be conversant with the requirements of the relevant New South Wales laws and regulations and teh policies and procedures of the authority that will carry out the burial or cremation.
